Vision for Worship

At MVCC our chief aim is to bring glory to God through prayer, the proclamation of God’s inerrant Word, praise, testimony, and the artistic expression of God’s gifts.

Style

We are primarily a contemporary service, drawing from ancient and modern music, both celebrative and reflective, in a contemporary style, and occasionally in a traditional manner.

Philosophy of Song Selection

We seek to choose and play songs that are biblically accurate, and whose focus is on God, praising Him for who He is as well as what He has done for us individually, and for His people throughout history. We play songs that are not only theologically rich (such as Phil. 2:5-11 which is considered to be an early Christian hymn) but also songs that express our personal love and affection for God (similar to Psalm 42:1 “As the deer pants for the water so my soul pants for you O God.”)

From New Market/Mt. Airy
MD Rt 75 South to MD Rt 80 West about three miles to the second flashing (on weekends) Stop Light, left into Urbana High School.
