April 27-29, 2018
Have you ever wondered why you are here?
What your unique gifts are that God is longing to use for His glory?
Can it really be grocery shopping, cleaning, and carpooling or that job that’s less than satisfying?
Why not take a weekend for yourself — a weekend to come close to the Lord and contemplate His plan for your life? To breathe in His presence, and to be spiritually fed.
Just sign up for MVCC’s Women’s Retreat. April 27-29 at White Sulphur Springs in Mann’s Choice, Pa. Our theme this year is “Made on Purpose for a Purpose.”
Single Women’s Bible Study
Over 8 sessions, Kelly Minter will lead our single ladies through the Letter of 2 Corinthians, exploring the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening wide your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships, and what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant. Each of us has a message to proclaim and liveby: Because of Jesus the old has gone, the new has come. Study meetings will be held in the home of Sandra Pechnik, every other Friday from 7:00-9:00pm, beginning February 9th (no study on March 30th). There are 15-slots available. To register, please contact Sandra by email at email@example.com. Please order study books on Amazon.com or Lifeway.com.

Women’s Discipleship Triads
The purpose of MVCC Discipleship Triads is to facilitate meeting the vision of our church: “Making Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus.” We are committed to doing this through relationships, following the example of Jesus. A Discipleship Triad is a group of three women who together aspire to become self-initiating, reproducing, fully devoted followers of Jesus through a relationship built on the truth of God’s Word, transparent trust, and mutual accountability. Our hope and prayer is that through these reproducing Triads, spiritually mature women will surely, by the grace of God, reach and serve their neighbors, the next generation, and the nations for Jesus Christ. If you are interested in learning more about Women’s Discipleship Triads, contact Coleen Trainor, Director of Women’s Evangelism and Discipleship at firstname.lastname@example.org
A ladies prayer group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Prayer & Comfort Room. Come join us as we pray for our children, grandchildren, families, church, and community (no childcare available). Contact: Jan Drass.
MVCC Women’s Choir
Do you love to sing? Do you want to learn to sing harmony? Come and join a fun singing group called JOI (Jesus Our Inspiration). You’ve probably heard us at Mountain View on occasion. We also sing locally at special events and senior-living facilities. Bring your passion for singing and fellowship and become a part of JOI yourself. Through a variety of classic hymns, country tunes, medleys and custom arrangements, our ministry proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings and hope received from living one’s life for Him. We have 2-4 part harmony in every song and are in need of all parts (both men and women). Call Claire Richtmyer (301-831-8009) for more details.
* Please contact the church office to obtain additional information and contact phone numbers/email addresses for activities and events.
