Pastor Rob Grose is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Christian Education) and Cornell University (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Master of Business Administration). Rob joined the pastoral staff at Mountain View Community Church in 2008 after serving for five years as the Pastor of Missions and Discipleship at Grace Fellowship Church near Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to his ordination, Rob was a Naval Officer and Aviator (1977-85) and a businessman in the IT Consulting industry (1985-2003).
Rob and his wife, Lisa, were married in 1978. Their passion is for believers to personally respond to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) by becoming disciple-makers of all nations. They are blessed to see Christ’s power and authority at work through the church body, home groups, and intimate discipling relationships.
Rob and Lisa live in Urbana just a short hike from the church office. Their daughter Anne, son-in-law Scott, and grandsons Daniel and Joshua live in Richmond, Virginia. The whole family enjoys sports and being active outdoors.
