Leaders: Elders and Deacons
Our elders and
deacons/deaconesses must be members of the church and must
be approved by the membership. These individuals serve
three-year terms, and can serve two successive terms before
taking one year off.
Elders
Definition
A mature, godly man, given to prayer,
who can teach God's Word and who oversees and shepherds
God's people from a selfless and gentle heart.
Distinctive
Must be older, open to men only,
priority is the ministry of the Word and prayer.

Deacons and Deaconesses
Definition
A sincere, godly individual, who
ministers to God's people from a servant's heart, and who
frees up the elders to direct the affairs of the church and
focus on the ministry of the Word and prayer.
Distinctive
Can be younger, open to men or women,
priority is ministry of deed.
